The truth is that suicide is a looming reality for countless veterans returning from war. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder isn’t as stigmatized as it was just a few years ago. Twenty-two veterans commit suicide every day. When veterans don’t face their personal and unique struggles, they commonly begin coping with self-destructive behaviors that keep them from health and connection with family and allies. Our LPC-certified counselors target the struggles specific to veterans and offer healing through connection with a guardian animal in our paddock.
IF YOU ARE HAVING A MENTAL HEALTH EMERGENCY, PLEASE CALL 911 AND ASK TO SPEAK WITH AN ON-DUTY VETERAN IF POSSIBLE, OR CALL THE VETERANS CRISIS LINE AT 1-800-273-8255.
