Sergeant (RET) Christopher Maples was assigned to Echo 2/58 Ft. Benning GA for Basic Combat Training (BCT) and Advance Individual Training on August 18th, 2008. In December, he graduated BCT and AIT 12, at which point he was assigned to Attack Company 1/28 Black Lions. There he served as an automatic rifleman, grenadier, team leader, and squad leader. From August 2010 to June 2011, he served in Balad Iraq, and from May 2012 to January 2013, he served in Paktika Province Afghanistan. Sergeant Maples retired as a squad leader in December 2014, and began working as Ranch Hands Rescue on September 11th, 2016.
Currently Director of Operations at Ranch Hands Rescue, Sergeant (RET) Maples directs our veterans’ programs in partnership with counselor Rebeca Mata. We have four main veterans programs: Our Veterans’ Counseling program, Vets for Vets, our Service Dog Program, and our Nursing Home Veterans Program.
